  • Wikimedia Commons: Often less aesthetic, more techical images. Various licenses, many images requiring attribution.
  • Flickr: Various licenses, some needing attribution.
  • Unsplash: Large amount of free-to-use images (€72/year for unlimited downloads, pro content, and illustrations/clipart). Since 2013 (then as a Tumblr blog).
  • Pexels: Stock photos, supported by links to Pixabay plus Canva as editor. Since 2015.
  • Open Clip Art: Vector (.SVG) images. Since 2004.
  • Pixabay: Wide range of images; supported by links to commercial stock photos (iStock). Since 2010.
  • Public Domain Pictures: Freemium model, charges you for higher-resolution public domain images(!) as well as linking to Adobe and other commercial stock photos in results. Since 2007.
  • Freepik: (€60/year for AI credits, €120/year for extra AI plus premium stock photos; free is 10 images/day.) Extensive set of stock photos, but focused on AI tools for generating and editing. Since 2010.
  • Videvo: Stock video footage site (now owned by Freepik), AE and Pp templates (intros, mostly), music and sound effects. Since 2012.
